Free event ticketing for organisers

Tickify costs organisers nothing. There are no setup, monthly or payout fees, and free events have no fees at all. On paid tickets a flat 5% is added at checkout and paid by the buyer, so you keep 100% of the ticket price you set.

What "free ticketing" actually means

Selling paid tickets always has a cost, because card payments have to be processed. When a ticketing platform says it's free, it usually means one of three things:

  • Free events are free. No fees when tickets cost nothing. Most major platforms, including Tickify, work this way.
  • The buyer pays the fee. The platform adds its fee to the ticket price at checkout, so the organiser keeps the full price. This is the default on Tickify, Eventbrite, Humanitix and Ticketebo.
  • The fee is split. The buyer pays part and the rest comes out of the organiser's revenue, as with TryBooking's default settings.

Tickify is free in the first two senses: free events cost nothing, and on paid tickets the buyer pays one flat 5% with card processing included. You never pay a fee out of your ticket revenue.

What it costs on a $75 ticket

Here's what the buyer pays and what the organiser keeps on a single $75 ticket, using each platform's published Australian rates and default settings. Tickify isn't the cheapest option for buyers, but on Tickify the organiser always keeps the full price.

PlatformBuyer paysOrganiser keeps
Tickify$78.75$75.00
TryBooking$75.50~$73.11
DICE~$76.61~$69.80
Ticketebo$78.00$75.00
Humanitix$79.39$75.00
Eventbrite$80.20$75.00
