Eventbrite alternatives in Australia
The main Eventbrite alternatives for Australian organisers are Tickify, Humanitix, TryBooking, Ticketebo and DICE. On a $75 ticket, every one of them costs the buyer less than Eventbrite's $80.20. Here's how they compare, and which suits which events.
Eventbrite alternatives compared on a $75 ticket
| Platform | Fee | Who pays | Buyer pays | Organiser nets | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eventbrite | 5.35% + A$1.19/ticket | Buyer (default) | $80.20 | $75.00 | Reach via Eventbrite's marketplace |
| Tickify | 5% flat | Buyer, always | $78.75 | $75.00 | Paid music, comedy, festival and sport events |
| Humanitix | 4% + A$0.99/ticket + GST | Buyer (default) | $79.39 | $75.00 | Charities, schools, community events |
| TryBooking | 50c/ticket + 2.5% processing | Split (default) | $75.50 | ~$73.11 | Low-priced community events |
| Ticketebo | 4% per order incl. GST, A$1.20 min | Buyer (default) | $78.00 | $75.00 | Lowest buyer fee, reserved seating |
| DICE | 6.3% (A$5 cap) + GST, plus 1.95% + GST | Split (fixed) | $76.61 | $69.80 | Gigs and club nights |
Default settings, one ticket per order. Eventbrite, Humanitix and Ticketebo let organisers absorb the fee instead, and TryBooking lets them pass the processing fee on. DICE figures are its self sign-up rates. Try your own numbers in the fee calculator.
Why organisers look beyond Eventbrite
Eventbrite's 5.35% + A$1.19 per ticket is the highest buyer fee of the platforms here at typical ticket prices, so your buyers pay more at checkout. Its strengths are reach and scale: a large global marketplace where people browse for events, a long track record, and wide integrations.
If most of your buyers come from your own audience, social media and promoters rather than Eventbrite's marketplace, a lower buyer fee and more control over your data and resale may matter more.
