Tickify vs TryBooking

Two low-fee options for Australian organisers with different fee models. Who pays what, what you net, and which suits your events.

Fees checked 4 October 2026 · Australian market

Tickify

Free for organisers
5% flat, buyer pays

Organiser keeps 100% of face value on every ticket. Full attendee list export any time.

TryBooking

Split fee
50c + 2.5%

50c ticket fee paid by the buyer (15c on tickets of $5 or less). 2.5% processing fee charged to the organiser by default.

Fee comparison

TryBooking splits its fee in two. The buyer pays a 50c ticket fee, and the organiser pays a 2.5% processing fee unless they choose to pass it on. Tickify has one fee: a flat 5% added at checkout and always paid by the buyer.

So the trade-off is simple. With TryBooking's defaults, your buyers pay less and you net less. With Tickify, you net the full ticket price and your buyers pay 5%.

Example: 200 tickets at $75 each

Tickify
Ticket price$75.00
Buyer pays$78.75
Organiser fee per ticket$0.00
Organiser net (200 tickets)$15,000.00
TryBooking (default settings)
Ticket price$75.00
Buyer pays$75.50
Organiser fee per ticket~$1.89
Organiser net (200 tickets)~$14,622.50

On this event the organiser nets about $377 more on Tickify, and each buyer pays $3.25 more. If you pass both TryBooking fees to the buyer instead, you net the full $15,000 there too, and the buyer pays about $77.39, which is $1.36 less than on Tickify.

Processing is calculated here as 2.5% of the ticket price plus the ticket fee. On cheap tickets the gap narrows: on a $20 ticket a TryBooking buyer pays $20.50 by default, against $21.00 on Tickify.

Getting paid

On TryBooking, organisers request a transfer of their funds. Funds are treated as earned on the event date, and TryBooking's organiser terms say it can accept or reject requests for release before the event at its discretion, sometimes with conditions such as evidence the event will go ahead or cancellation insurance.

On Tickify, payouts are processed after your event once Stripe clears the transactions. If you need funds before the event, early payouts are available on request.
